2023 SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL
The Village of Ladd has been awarded the $250,000.00 grant. No construction has begun. On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, President Cattani held an informational meeting for all residents affected by the project, which will be on East Cleveland Street from Peru Avenue to Summit Avenue. Letters were mailed to residents to bring their ideas, questions, and concerns to the Village Hall at 6:30 pm to discuss with our engineer. This was the pre-planning stage of the project. You asked us for better communication, and we answered.
8-15-2025 UPDATE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL & MAIN AVENUE SIDEWALK GRANTS
The 2023 Safe Routes to School Grant has begun, and things are moving along nicely. We apologize if you can’t get your mail at home for a few months, but Gillan Construction has done a great job keeping things moving along. We’ve spoken with Gillan Construction, and they plan to have the couple of blocks closest to the school done by August 20th – the first day of school. We genuinely hope that keeping the residents informed has helped with the inconveniences of driveways and mail. The construction will continue in the next month or so. Gillan Construction was also awarded the $150,000.00 grant for Main Avenue Sidewalk Replacement. You will be seeing sidewalks on Main Avenue replaced later this Fall. Stop by or call 815-303-7535 with questions or complaints. Village Clerk – Rhonda
FIBEROPTIC BROADBAND UPDATE
Conxxus/Metro is in the Village boring fiber to all areas of Ladd. Eventually they will have salespeople going door to door (they will have Village of Ladd Peddler Permit ID’s) to explain the packages they offer the residents along with pricing. We are so thankful to be finally getting fiber in Ladd.
