Safe Routes to School 2025 Project.    The Village of Ladd was awarded $250,000.00 to bring more new sidewalks to our Village.   We will be adding new sidewalk from 305 S. Summit Street to 302 S. Eastern Avenue.   This new sidewalk will be on East Cleveland Street continuing from where the Safe Routes to School 2023 Project ended.   Once we get to 302 S. Eastern Avenue the sidewalk will cross the Street and continue on the South Side of East Cleveland from 1001 E. Cleveland Street to 1021 E. Cleveland Street and stop right before the railroad tracks on East Cleveland Street.    On Friday, July 31, 2026, the Village will hold a public meeting for anyone who would like to attend.   All residents who will be affected have been sent a letter inviting them to this meeting. The engineer will be present to answer any questions and have drawings of what the new sidewalks will look like.    We look forward to seeing you on Friday, July 31st.

Just to let residents know, the Village spends $10,000.00 a year on replacing existing sidewalks around town that are bad.   We spend $5,000.00 on the west side and $5,000.00 on the east side.  We are hoping to make our sidewalks safer for everyone and improve the look of our Village.
