GENERAL ELECTION – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Bureau County voters have three options to cast a ballot: Vote by Mail, Early Voting in Person, or In Person Voting on Election Day.
- To request a Vote by Mail application, click here.
- Early voting in person will be held at the Spring Valley City Hall, the Princeton Moose Lodge, and the Bureau County Courthouse prior to the election. More information will be posted when it becomes available.
- To vote in person on Election Day, the polling place for residents in Hall Precincts 4 & 9 is the Ladd Community Center, 303 South Central Avenue. Polls will be open on Election Day from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Petitions may be circulated beginning Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 8:00 am. Stop by the Village Clerk’s Office or the Bureau County Clerk’s Office for the necessary forms.
~A minimum of 11 signatures needed — maximum of 61 signatures
~Petitions must be filed with the Ladd Village Clerk between November 16, 2026, through November 20, 2026, from 8 am to 4:30 pm and on November 23, 2026, from 8 am to 5 pm.
