The Ladd Public Library is hosting a program titled “The Promise of a Better Life” on Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 am.  You won’t want to miss this display, presentation and open discussion including Q&A of the history of our local area mines, miners, owners, and dangers including the Cherry Mine Disaster provided by Jim Piacenti.  There is no charge for this program.
