The Supervisor of Assessments Office will be available to assist Bureau County taxpayers with the completion of their Homestead Exemption applications and to answer general property assessment questions. To be able to assist you, they ask that you please bring your valid Driver’s License/State ID and the following items with your exemption form:
Low-Income Senior Assessment Freeze Exemption – prior year proof of income.
Disabled Person Exemption – Disabled person ID card.
Disabled Veteran – VA letter dated the year you are applying; must state your service connected disability percentage.
